I have a 2003 F350 6.0L. Currently my ESOF 4wd has been taking about 10-15 min to engage. It's been below and well below freezing lately, have never seen that be a problem in the past. If everything is nice and warm, it has no problem coming on. Like if I drive for 20-30 min...park 15-30 min and come back it will be fine. After sitting parked for over an hour...takes another 10-15 warm up. Is it electrical? Is it a stuck solenoid? Switch checked out OK. Vacuum is OK. Thanks again for any feedback.
Have you tried being on level ground, putting the truck in neutral and shifting into 4x4? That's the only way I've been able to get the thing to work right to go in and out, especially out of 4wd low.
