Banks has a DPF back exhaust that works on the 15's if you were interested. I just put one in my 15. I believe the rear bung is some sort of special thread, which caused banks to build their own bungs as there were not any available.
Hope that helps

Our check engine light came on and the code was P2209, the NOx sensor. Went to AutoZone and had them run a diagnostic. We have a 2012 Ford F350 DRW with 70,000 miles on it. After a day, the check engine light went off. We are towing a 16,000lb Fifth Wheel and are out of town.

The question is, do we take it in or wait until the light comes on again?

Thanks for your help.

if autozone deleted the code you will need it to be present again. Otherwise the tech will have nothing to go on.

Autozone did not delete the code. The check engine light stayed on the rest of the day. When we turned the truck on the next day, the CEL was gone.

Since the light is off, could it have reset itself?

Thanks,
Nancy A.

I'd say the issue self resolved

Don't be surprised if the CEL comes back. My '11 had the same issue about a year ago, CEL would come on then the next day be off and wouldn't return for several weeks or so. Performed all the factory pinpoint tests and everything checked out. Ended up swapping it before hitting the road for several months of racing and haven't had an issue since.

Thanks for the info! Hopefully it will stay off until we get home.

I know this is an older thread, but one thing I noticed was people buying a spare EGT and Nox sensor. I have a spare EGT because all four positions use the same pn, but when I looked into buying a spare Nox sensor, the dealership pulled up the diagram and showed me different pn's for the different locations...and they weren't particularly cheap either.

To restart an older thread, does anybody know if there's any "programming" needed with either replacing an EGT or a NOx sensor? Or is it a simple R&R?

Thanks.

I've replaced both EGT and NOx sensors and no programming need for either, simply R&R. I soak the threads with PB Blaster for an hour or so before attempting to remove and they've always come right out.

only thing you would need is something to turn off the check engine light/erase codes if these items apply.

And that I've got, so I should be good to go. Thanks for that reminder!

Anybody else finding NOx sensors failing fairly quickly? The original one in my truck ('13 F250) failed at about 10k miles. Now that one has failed at 57K miles. Since the dealer wants $600 this time, I'm curious to see if anybody else is having multiple NOx sensor failures.
