Hydrogen Excursion V10 4x4
the PCM fuels to prevent an excessive A/F ratio. it's simple engine safety designed to ensure longevity and reliability. millions/billions spent by Ford/Chevy/Dodge/Toyota...etc to ensure this occurs
Obviously the turbo would damage the engine from leaning it out, plus boosting a higher compression engine and timing advance would be a lethal combination on a na motor. Could one say that a turbo is bad from that, who had tried it?
But if you build the same engine with lower compression, add something like MSD boost control to retard the timing based on per lb of boost, increased the injector size or added a fuel computer, now you have a performance beast. It has to be done correctly to see the results. In my opinion stand alone fuel management is "done correctly" but cost is the reason I didn't do it. So I am using a black box so to speak to modify the factory computer to get fuel & timing maps more compatible with HHO.
I've actually installed/used a few blower applications. It's really quite easy. You tell the PCM (tuning) what fuel maps to use for load/RPM. It then supplies that fuel. You then monitor your A/F ratio via a gauge and fine tune the PCM parameters. No special boost control needed. No special fuel computer needed, maybe new fuel injectors if the stock ones aren't big enough to supply demand...maybe. The PCM just needs a signal to know when boost is applied, or not and to what degree. This is/can be easily done using installed equipment
read up on power adders a bit please. you suggest alot of components that would only be required on a purpose built vehicle. most modern vehicles wouldn't need any of that stuff.
so you are saying you came on FTE, and posted about a "Fanciful Tale of MPG" with no factual data? In doing so, the next guy who Googles "HHO" or "Browns Gas" will get a link to this thread.
but wait, you don't have actual factual data to support your HHO claims. You have a derived MPG number that relies on data it aquires from the PCM to calcuate. And you utilize a "Black box" to modify your PCM sensors/inputs so your HHO system can operate "properly".
Please do some hand calculations and come back with real world repeatable MPG numbers.
nah, you'd be suffering from a dose of reality. I'm sorry you got suckered at some point by a HHO scam artist. Hopefully your motor isn't overly damaged. I highly recommend you get that HHO crap off the car immediately
