I have a 1994 F-350 with a 460. I have no problems with the unit and I like owning it to where I will keep it for a long time. I would like to get a little more power out of it at a reasonable cost input. I had a good friend once tell me a couple cute sayings. If you got a big motor you gota feed it. He also said there is no substitute for cubic inches. He is right on both parts but I think I am not getting out of it what it is capable of giving. When I use it I am 90% of the time pulling a load. Any help on waking the beast up?
I did the exhaust on my truck today. The throttle response is very snappy now. Was definitely a noticeable difference. Going to do the intake mod next. Should help with hauling.
Read several threads on here that say getting better exhaust flow for the 460 is the first step to better performance.
I just replaced the muffler and tail pipe on mine with a 3" straight pipe. Have not done any work with it yet, dont expect much change since the muffler had big holes in it. Just quieter.
Also started looking at the "Banks TorqueTube" header system. Its kinda high dollar but sounds like its the best system out there.
