Replacing tailgate latches

Hi. I'm new to the forums. We recently were given a 1997 F-150 styleside. The tailgate latches are both broken (I can see where one has snapped). I took off the access panel and have verified that the handle and rods are working perfectly and they are doing what they are supposed to do. The latches simply don't move (one is cockeyed and it looks like the spring is broken in it).

My question is how do I replace these latches?
