eot ect delta

Just got my torque app running. At idle I am seeing ect of 186.8 and eot of 176.8. After driving around town for about 30 minutes. Are these acceptable?

Note: ambient temp is 22F

10F is fine, just watch it to be certain they don't suddenly skyrocket

seems a bit cold, but then again it's 22F outside...so...

Around town is no way to check temp deltas.

Get vehicle to operating temp. Get to a place where you can drive for 15 minutes at 65mph on relatively flat ground. Check your deltas(your engine oil temp will be the same as the coolant temp or a little higher). All is done with the vehicle unloaded. Temp deltas up to 15* are acceptable.

I'm thinking you have them posted backassward......the oil temp is, at least as far as I have ever seen, never colder than the water temp after running that long of a time so if that is the case your temps look great for the ambient temp being what you posted.

Thermostat may be open

Didn't notice you said around town. Agree you need to get to about 60mph for at least 10 minutes

I wanted a baseline for right now when it is 15 degrees out vs in the spring/summer. I have been wanting to do a flush and switch to ELC and replace the thermostat when I install my coolant filter. I just don't think I will have time until spring.

around town I was only getting 188.6 degrees for the ECT. I am wondering if I have a slow or open thermostat.

I just wrote it off as being 14 degrees outside right now so I am sure it is cooling very efficiently lol.
