tell me what you guys think.
first thought was that its just some shmo trying to boost his sale on ebay....
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Ford-F-150-Lightning-Standard-Cab-Pickup-2-Door-1993-ford-f-150-xlt-lightning-with-super-charger-/161168134622?forcerrptr=true&hash=item25865e91de&item=161168134622&pt=US_Cars_Trucks
then, digging into some history found this.... VIN: 1FTDF15RXPLA65573 - Ford : F-150 1993 Ford F150 SVT Lightning Flareside 393 Stroker Supercharged #1724
according to the ebay add,it's still up for bid,so the OP hasn't bought it....yet. LOL I would like to know if a super charger and flareside bed were ever offered as stock on the lightning? If so,that would make this truck rare and worth some good money. But if the owner did it himself, yes it might be rare, but not factory rare,so not worth that much more then a stock lightning with similar miles.
Flare side bed was not stock
Chrome grill was not stock
Wheels were not stock
Hood was not stock
running boards were not stock
that front seat was not stock
I am guessing since it is from NY it was rotten and the bed was replaced
I wonder if it is even truly a lighnting, or if the vin was swapped
because it looks more like a conversion truck than a lightning
That's what I first thought, I've been looking up maybe a trip down south this summer to get a new toy. Just it seemed strange.
I know lightning are fleetsides only
That's why when I saw the flareside box I was curious.
No intentions of buying it, not original.
Just strange.
Odd. Through the vin decoder here, it comes up as a flareside, but the R is a lightning motor... Either way, it reeks of ethnicity, what with the body kit, hood, wheels, and seat.
I worked at a car dealership for a while and we had a couple cars we had to special order because the customer wanted options that didn't come together or they wanted a color that came on a different car but was not available on what they wanted so someone along the line could have possibly special ordered a flare side Lightning but they would have paid out the butt for it.

yes, some things were available thru special order. But not any of the items I listed were available
