glow plug system malfunction
2004 6.0 stock. 278,000 miles always started in cold weather until today.No engine codes, ficm voltage is good. Pulled all 8 glow plugs and ohms read between 1.4-1.5. I really thought this was going to be my problem, so time to look elsewhere. Just happened to check the harnesses on the engine side and reading 5.5 volts on all 8 pins with the key off. Is this normal??? Think it should read 0 until the glow plug circuit is made? Is it time for a gpcm? Any thoughts

everything is normal and it starts and runs fine if I put it in the heated garage. I do have a scanguage and moniter voltages and such, just wasnt sure about the no start today and finding voltage at the glow plugs with the key off

rpm is 0 cause the glow plugs are removed so not cranking it, battery voltage is 12.6volts, ficm 48volts. nothing is turned on and the key is out of the ignition. Still getting 5.5 volts on both banks of glow plug harness. is this normal???? I wouldnt think so as there would be a drain on the batteries at all times
