I thought I would share a little trick I learned for removing the harness without breaking it. I have removed at least 10 sets without breaking a single one. The tools
I use a Snap on hose pick, and the glow plug harness removal tool. Here is the catch. The valve cover must be removed. It seems like most of the time it has to come off anyhow.
anyhow reach in and pull on the harness from inside with the pick while gently pulling on the harness removal tool. You want to let the pick do most of the work.
I moved the oil rail aside just for the photo op.
I realize this is a head on the bench. I found it to be not too difficult to do in the truck. However getting photo's like this inside the truck is tougher then removing the harness!!
