Has anybody retrofit a coolant filter for their truck?

1991 5.8L

It'll be due for a coolant system flush next month. My heater core hoses are needing replaced as well, and I thought while I was at it, maybe it would be worth it to add a coolant filter. Just wanted to know if anyone else has? Where did you tie into the system at? How did it work out and was it worth it?

I was thinking I would splice it into the input line for the heater core, although I'm not entirely sure where I would mount the flange.

Thanks!
