Its my first time visiting this site, I recently purchased a 1966 ranger short box with a 352/4 speed on the floor, overall its in decent condition but its does require a restoration, everything is original and everything still works. It also had many options installed at the dealership when it was new (I found this out with paper work that was still in the glive box) in past couple weeks ive stripped it down too frame too begin the restoration. I'll post a few pics at a later time.
What kind of restoration you going with a factory spec or changing some things up along the way? Got to like them short beds I'll be watching for progress pics good luck. Btw Welcome your in the right place any questions or help you need can most likely be answered very knowledgable and good people here.
Nice find! there are many here that would consider your truck the "Holy Grail" of Slicks.

If you have a photo bucket account upload them onto there then copy and paste the image URL into the thread this is how I post all my pics on the forums. I'd like to see this interior myself the more the better
The seats used in the 1965 and 1966 Rangers came from the Mustang of the same year. The Standard, not Pony, seat covers were used. The console, which was optional on the Ranger package, came from the Falcon Sprints.
Seats are pretty easy to locate as they made a lot of Mustangs. The brackets that bolt to the floor and some of the hardware is unique but BillW repops the brackets and special big washers.
I picked up a '66 F250 Ranger earlier this year. I haven't pulled it all apart yet so if you want pictures of something particular let me know and I'll see what I can do. Mine has the same U81 code parchment colored interior as this F100 and the optional console, too.
Some of the options that where added when this truck was new, roof mounted spot light (ford option) hydraulic trailer brakes, second fuel tank in box, extra helper leaf springs, under dash A/C, and probably more im forgeting? My djm lowering kit arrived yesterday , it looks like a decent kit? I'd like too add power steering & power brakes any sugestions would be helpfull. Thanks
