It's because of the dent that runs down the middle of the 73-79 Ford's. Lmao.

Why he is correct. See..... no middle chrome and the dent is there?

Yes there is a truck in the 1st picture with NO chrome and a dent all the way down the side.

And same in a flare side, but just the cab, get it?

And here is a nice old 72 "bump side".

Well I guess we could call them ditch sides but that usually refers the the passenger side. How about crease sides...

Pretty sure I will stick to "Dent Side" like I learned on FTE from the 73-79 forum folks years ago. Let me check.............ah yep.

"Crease" sounds to much like how I explain vehicular body panel damage, "ah hell its just a crease, drive it." lol

Ditch side is where you find chebbys, "Where did you break done AGAIN" I ask...."you know along side the road or ditch side as always".

Does this look "Contoured" to you? The truck, the truck.......

con·tour
noun \ˈkän-ˌtu̇r\ : the outline or outer edge of something
Full Definition of CONTOUR
1: an outline especially of a curving or irregular figure : shape; also: the line representing this outline
2: the general form or structure of something : characteristic —often used in plural <contours of a melody>
3: a usually meaningful change in intonation in speech

Examples of CONTOUR
He loved the sleek contours of the what ever..... (and the girl standing by the "dent-side" truck)
The map showed the contour of the coastline.
