I will try to answer, I did say try. The Ultimate came with the two-tone interior, which was later used on the Eddie Bauers. It also has the HOMELINK in the visors, HVAC-Stereo-Cruise in the steering wheel, dual power heated front seats, and rear seat DVD/entertainment system and power adjustable pedals all as part of the "Ultimate Pkg".

My 2002 Ex has all of that except the two tone leather. So, is the two tone leather the difference between the Limited Ultimate and the Limited?

2000 to mid 2002, the top of the line Excursion was a "Limited" and had whatever color on top and the Arizona Beige cladding on the bottom. (2001 "No Boundaries" trucks being the exception)
Late 2002 going into 2003, Ford stepped their game up and introduced the "Limited Ultimate". What you were paying for was the exceptionally rare two-tone leather seats (which would later be found in 2003-2005 "Eddie Bauer" trucks without the "Limited" stitching) and later on, the Monochrome Paint. You had a choice of either Black, Dark Satin Green, and I believe Mineral Gray clear coat metallic.
The "Limited Ultimate" package was also offered earlier in the 2002 MY just without the monocrhome paint option. In other words, trucks with the standard paint and Arizona Beige cladding got the package. The only real difference from later in the year, was the monochrome paint job and two tone leather seats.
Standard "Limited" trucks for the 2002 MY were virtually identical to the 2000-2001 MY trucks as far as the interior. (No on wheel contols, memory seats, etc)
