Help, no defrost

I havent had defrost last winter and this winter and its getting old quick. I replaced the lines to the hubs because they were leaking and that didnt help. I removed the glove box and looked the the little silver arm as i turned from defrost, to feet, etc every time i moved the **** the arm would move to a different position but still no defrost. All the lines look in good shape. What should i look for next? Thanks

Usually with a hub line busted, it will cause the system to default to defrost. So a vacuum leak would cause it to always blow out the defrost. Do u have floor settings or only vent settings? The fact u see the arm move and get no air flow change makes want to believe the door inside the box is broken or something is jamming it inside and not allowing to move all the way. We found an ink pen in one that caused an $800 repair.

I have heard of plastic bags getting sucked in and causing air flow issues.

The floor settings do work but any setting that involves the defrost comes out the front. Where exactly should i look for something stuck?

I would look for any arm the would move a door and exercise it. That being said, the defrost door might not be accessible without some serious dash removal. I know there is an arm by the passenger floor, but I forgot what that controls.

Thanks Tugly, i will do my best to look for any doors. I really dont want to start tearing the dash apart especially if i dont know what im doing. I guess il cross that bridge when i get there.
