master cylinder connection

master cylinder connection
So today I was changing the drivers side wheel bearing, and at the master cylinder I noticed a hose that is broken off. I think it is to connect to the end of the MC, but not sure. All I can see is the broken tip of the connector in the end of the hose.
Is that where it goes, and what fitting is it that I need?
