its too bad the f-sd's didn't come with E50D's.

feels like an E40D w/ 5.13's is going back in time to a c6.im not sure even you would think swapping out the e40d in this one to a c6 would be called an upgrade Niles lol.
can't wait to fill the bed and see how this old gal takes a load though.

I don't really want to swap to anything, the c6 works perfect for cruising around town and going into the mountains. Still gets 15mpg at 65 too. I imagine with a new trans that had a new torque converter will get better mileage. The torque converter in the truck now is worn out.

I've been pondering a few options. The fact it runs really good, drives good other than skipping 2nd, has a complete non waste gated Banks turbo kit on it, and is a rust free and unmolested eastern Oregon truck are all pluses. I figure the truck is probably worth $1500 as it sits. The issue is finding another clean idi with a manual. I can find nice big block trucks all day long, but I like the clatter.
