Sold my 51 to a friend to buy a 53 v-8 truck
Recently I bought a 51 Ford and I had one of my best friends from high school want to buy it. So, I sold it to him and he is very excited. The bad part is, I will still have to help him do the body restoration lol
On my home from visiting my parents today I stopped and talked to a guy about an all original 53 truck with the original flatheadV-8 engine still in it. I have to say, this truck is one of my all time favorite trucks (the other is a 47-55 five window Chevy, sorry).
I was wondering how may V-8 flathead trucks were made and if they are seen a lot? I hope to pick this new project up later this week.

Not sure if you mean how many '53 F-100's had the flat V8, or how many Ford trucks in total had it? In '53 I'd guess F-100 production was half flat V8, half straight 6, and 200k trucks were sold. From '48 thru '52 several hundred thousand trucks had the flat V8. Earlier trucks also had a variant of the flat V8.
