how do I figure out what injectors I have in my truck

I bought the truck about a year ago the person I bought the truck said the truck had stage 1injectors but I'm not sure if they are split shot Or single shot I had to change the computer because of transmission problems the truck hasn't ran the same ever since less power and more rattle just wondering if that could be my problem maybe need to be reprogrammed

Stage 1 are single shot injectors. If you know this person ask him who he used, if not buy a tuner or have your PCM reflashed for the single shot injectors. They are usually 160cc single shot. Depending where you live you mitt have someone local be able to do the job quickly.

I do not really No if the guy I bought the truck from was telling the truth why I was wondering if there was any way to find out which ones they were

and I was wondering if that would make the truck run rough if the computer wasn't program 4 stage 1 injectors

Take one out and send it to a reputable injector rebuilding facility. That's the only way to know for sure.

The only way to tell is to remove the injector and have it checked by a reputable builder. "Stage 1" can mean a wide variety of things depending on who marketed that product. There are actually split shot injectors sold with oversized nozzles and labeled as "Stage 1" so its anyones guess as to what is in your truck.

What they said also. It sounds like that is what you are going to have to do to make sure. Why did you change PCM?

I had to change out the PCM because somehow I had a solenoid in the transmission short out and shorted something in the PCM or vice versa

Sounds more like a faulty diagnosis to me.

Sent while swerving into the wrong lane...

I took the truck to the Ford garage because
the transmission still have warranty through Jasper Ford said the solenoid is bad they changed it when I came to pick up the truck they told me the PCM was bad so I took the truck home the truck still has the same problem so I ordered a rebuilt PCM place in Miami and sent them the old one for core that fix my transmission problem

Well if the trans is okay now the motor isn't send out the PCM and have it flashed for stage 1's. Just get a DD tune and see if that helps.

Oem PCM tuning for 99-03 is for oem "split shot" injectors. That's the tune on your rebuilt oem PCM. Most "stage 1" etc injectors will be single shots. A bit of light reading if you want more background on that. Your combo of split shot tune with single shot injectors will run, but poorly, especially at idle. Like Chet said, a daily driver stage 1 tune flashed onto your PCM will be far better than what you have now. You could pull an injector and get the specifics from a custom injector builder who could then provide a more, er, tuned tune, but at greater expense in time and coin.
