Help!!!! need flywheel advice
So I can't find anyone around that will turn a flywheel. Car parts stores brake shops transmission shops and all machine shops are closed. Do I really need to get it turned???? I don't see any cracks and no really bad spots that I can tell. At this point my only choice is a new flywheel which is $200

Do you have to get it turned? Depends on the condition of the flywheel. I've done two w/out turning the flywheel and they worked out fine. If it has any discoloration (blue areas) or obvious gaps underneath a straight edge when you put it across the flywheel you'd be better off turning it. But worst case scenario you just have to yard out the trans again if it don't work.
