voltage at fuel pump question.

Turning the key to run only supplies power to the pump for a second, This primes the system. 12 volts returns when you go to crank position, or turn key off and back on(then power for a sec). When you turn key to run, get 12v then it drops, Im not sure if you should get 4v or 0v. If the pump runs when you supply power from another source but not when it 12v from vehicle, you need to check how many amps are getting to the pump. 12 volts on a gauge is worthless if it doesnt have any amps getting to it.
