Hi guys,I have a small problem with my 94 f350 4x4 ,7.5 , 5 speed tranny,my problem is that when I am make a sharp turn like pulling into a parking space,or backing out and making a sharp turn either way the truck kinda vibrates like something is binding im at loss as to what it could be.So any ideas ? the tires are not hitting anything so thats not it.
Hubs are not locked,it feels like a gear or bearing is twisting upon turning ?
Im going to see if it still does it if I take it out of gear going into the turn.
Only other thing coming to mind is wheel bearings or loose lugs. There just isn't much more there.... tires, lug nuts, brakes, hubs and bearings. tight turns can also make brakes drag a little from the play in the wheel bearings.
I was thinking it could be the power steering pump is going bad,it does it only on extreme turning,so im thinking the pump is at its most pressurized time at that piont,I checked the wheel bearings and lug nuts they are not the problem as both are nice and tight. One more thing my truck doesnt have a steering stabilizer on it ,so I dont know if that hurts the steering or not.
