Tire Ratings

This was touched on in another thread so I thought it would interesting to look at axle weight ratings and tire ratings. In the past the tire ratings for SRW were the same as rear axle ratings. Now that we have 17, 18 and 20 inch from the factory it should be interesting to see if the axle rating are still tried to tire ratings.

My 2013 F350 DRW
Tires 245/75/17
3195 single 2910 dual
Front axle 4550
Rear axle 9650
GVWR 13900

Tires 285/75R18 (Toyo M/T)
Tire rating - 4,080lbs
FAWR - 5,200
RAWR - 7,000
GVWR - 11,200

Original tires (factory)
Tires- 275/70R18 (Michelin A/T2)
Tire rating - 3,640lbs
