please help stuck on he road

Battery light just came on and I lost power steering and brakes....I'm not in town....I'm going to need it towed...what type of shop should I go to?

Also I'm wondering if its just the belt that broke...any ideas since the battery light just came on

The fact that you lost power steering and the battery light came on would lead me to check the belt first the loss of brakes is tied to the no power steering running the brake booster.

I'm at ford now

The tensioner went out...$600 to replace belt and both tensioners

New warranty policy at Ford... 24 months unlimited mileage on any part...I'm impressed

i just did all that myself and was my guess to what had happen. had you been experiencing a slight chirp the few seconds upon start up each morning?

Me too just replaced belt and idler pulleys and tensioners mine was bent pretty badly and the belt was scored up whole thing got done around $250.00 while doing it we finally found my rad leak small leak by the plastic end cap new Mishimoto rad on the way!
