Erratic Tach

I recently just finished dealing with a bunch of problems on my rig, now as i was driving my Tachometer starting bouncing all over the place, but no change to the engine. Any ideas would be appreciated.

You did not provide the year which is very important.

P.S. Depending on the year you do NOT have to pull the entire cluster only the trim around the Cluster and the plastic lens. It is a quick fix.
