It is time to start seriously thinking about what color to paint the '68. Wheels and bumpers will be in charcoal gray.
I have thought about doing the cab top in charcoal and then doing either lemans blue for rest of truck for Ford glacier white pearl.....I have also considered doing two tone white pearl and lemans blue......
Here is picture of truck in 2002......black and white
Your title say's "Opinion Time" I could not give you an opinion on colors or what should be on top or bottom.
As long as you did a good clean job, it shouldn't matter to anyone. It's your truck, you drive it, you need to please, only you.
I like the blue or the blue/white combo. I don't think the blue/grey would look very good. In the end it is all up to you. I plan on painting my 72 Screaming Yellow and I don't care if anyone likes it or not. I will be happy. Thats all that matters to me when it comes to my truck. That blue shure looks good.
Yes, cut and paste. That's why I used the quotation marks.
The black and silver metal flake because I had a van painted that and I've always wanted to do another car that way.
I think it's important that anyone painting their car picks what they like rather than takes a survey and paints it the most popular color. I know when I was asked to help someone pick seat covers, floor mats or steering wheel covers if they went with my recommendation they were much more likely to return it later when they finally made up their own mind.
I hear ya, but I have narrowed down to 2 colors......almost every vehicle I have ever painted ended up being blue, lol. I know I was done with the black and white combo and can't stand silver. I am leaning more on blue simply because it can be either single stage or base coat clear coat where the pearl is a 3 stage affair.....
I had a buddy who bought a '70 Nova race car. It was some weird purple that he hated so he had another buddy and me do a makeover. I got to sanding on it and notice it actually had "pink" ghost flames up front. I called him over and he swore he never noticed....yea right....lol.
