My truck stays plugged in 24-7. Now that its cold when I start it up and until its warm leaks fuel down the passenger side rear of the engine. Also one time it also pushed oil out somewhere drivers side front of engine. Nowhere can I see it coming from please help.
Take a good look at the valley in the V of the engine. My guess is fuel filter bowl is leaking and the drain valve may be the culprit. Near the firewall on the passenger side is where the fuel feed is for that head. All other fuel fittings are attached to the fuel filter bowl.
Older "O" Rings will leak when the weather changes in temperature as it has done. Easy fix on the fuel Bowl.
Also, oil will often spot in the colder temperatures as well. I assume it is also due to "O" Rings as well. Been chasing a spot of oil for a few years. Always disappears in summer and returns in winter.
You can now get Military Spec "O" Rings which retain superior flexibility in both heat and cold. I have yet to try any though so I would look before you leap.
The SR-71 leaked fuel when cold too, by design. Just call it Stinky, no wait thats taken... Skunkworks!
In all reality though you should get that checked out...
Cold temps can crack old seals. Better get them changed out before you literally pour all money on the ground.
