If anyone can help me figure out what's wrong with my 4 wheel drive I'd really appreciate it.
Here is what I know:
When I jack up the front end and lock the hubs I can see some parts behind the wheel turning, when I unlock the hubs the parts behind the wheel don't turn. So that tells me the hubs are fine (atleast the manual lock is but I'm not worried about the vacuum part right now)
If the light comes on, that usually means that the motor has turned and engaged the transfer case. If you don't have 4x4 with just the switch, try manually locking the hubs, and then see if you have 4x4. If you do the you have issues with the ESOF hubs. If you have the light and the hubs locked in, then I would think there are issues with the transfer case motor or the pinion in the differential.
Let us know what you find.
