Yea on the 03 the icp and ipr are kinda hard to get to. Many people remove the turbo for easyer access. once you remove the heat shiel/blanket it is just a matter of unscrewing the sensor.
Now it can be removed without removeing the turbo but it is not easy. You can go in thru the top between the degasbottle and ficm or from underneath by reaching around and above the tranny. Either of those methods useually require some loss of skin and religion. BUT it can be done.
