there is a clock on ebay today, that is says it will fit a 49 car or truck. did the trucks have clocks, if so where did it go.

I've never seen a 48-52 truck with one, nor is there any listings in any of the parts and accessories catalogs. it may have been removed from a 49 truck, but was probably added by a previous owner.

I also have never seen a clock in the 48-56 F series trucks. The only clock that I have seen actual pics of as an accessory was for the 1937 Ford P/U. If there was an accessory for the million $ cab, sure would like a pic of one.

There is no listing for a clock in the parts books. I have several different versions of the parts books and nothing. In my 20 years in Ford parts,I never saw one. the first year a clock was available was 1980. I had one in my 86 F-250.
