The new 2014 F150's with the HID's now run the Front Amber running lights as Daytime Running Lights (DRL)... I personally love the look but I don't have the HID lighting system in my truck...

Would anyone know if it would be possible to wire my running lights to act as Daytime running lights just like the HID Headlights do???? I know with normal halogen lamps the lights are powered at a lower rating (80%) so not too sure how to go about converting my Headlights from having the DRL to my running lights operating as DRL...

Ford can do this for you. They can turn them on by the truck software.

 

Really?? Dunno of its really worth the 200$ plug in programmer charge.

 

A few dealerships have done it for free. Just play nice with your service Adviser. It takes them longer to figure out the settings than it does anything else.
