High Altitude Test
I had a 1/4 cord of oak, 30gal of water, 30 gals of gas, tools, gear, chains etc. and pulling a YJ jeep to elk camp. I had been over multiple passes but the last one stood out, 7% for 5 miles. The truck down shifted into 2nd and ran at red line (6K) for 2 miles then shifted into 3rd the last 3 miles to the summit of 10,100' @ 65mph. I have a set of Wrangler Dura Tracks that I use here in the winter and they moved the truck like a locomotive through snow. The truck is getting stronger and only has 6700 miles, I have looked into water methanol kit and it will only be beneficial if there is custom tuning. Has anyone checked into this or have it?
