My 89 300I6 would start in any weather. One of the best motors ford ever had! On one trip up to northern WI one time the temps dipped to -55f the 300 cranked right up in the morning as if it were 70 degrees out. The snowmobiles on the other hand were very very hard to turn over by hand (pull cord).
