Four wheel drive not engaging
We went to a friends cottage last night, and their lane is very steep. While we were there it poured rain for about half an hour. I needed to get out in 4 wheel so I turned the switch on the dash.....I could hear some noise under the truck but it didn't engage. I finally had to go out and manually engage it and up the lane we went.
It worked fine last week when I needed to get around in the snow.
Any ideas on what I should look at?

If the system worked when you manually locked the hubs then your looking at a vacuum issue, either a broken vacuum line going to one of the hubs or a bad vacuum seal or bad hub. You can get a gauge and apply vacuum to each hub individually to determine if its the hub or seal and isolate which side of the truck..
