You may have to modify a 21 mm socket to get the damn thing out. I don't know how everybody else does it, unless you have an offset 21 mm wrench maybe. I ended up having to MacGyver a deepwell socket to get the sensor out...there's not much room. The old sensor was nasty.
Hmm....too late. Oh well, I didn't have a 21 mm wrench anyway....now I have a custom socket.
Gotta love those. Especially 10 years later and you're thinking to yourself "Why did I cut this socket down?"
I have a couple modified sockets. One is cutdown for access to the serpentine tensioner on Ford 3.8 FWD engine. Until I realized you could just pull the belt by hand no problem. Oops.
Another is an SK 3/4" drive 1 7/16" impact socket I had to whittle down on a lathe to fit the rear sprocket bolts on a Deere 750C crawler.
