53-55 Solid Side Window Install

I remember reading some posts on this topic before but can't seem to find them using the search function. Here's the issue; a guy brings me some doors to rework and install a kit for the curved glass mod on his 53 F100. I make the template for the cutout in the hinge pocket area of the door and I test fit the front window/felt channel prior to drilling and bolting it in place. When I line up the upper channel with the appropriate hole in the door, the lower channel is not in the proper position...it's like the channel is fabricated with the wrong angle to it. Here's a pic...has anyone else had this problem. If so, did you just bend the channel or was there a more elegant solution? Thanks...
