Hey guys Im new to FTE and I just bought a 64 f250 and I need some new wheels since 16.5s are just about useless now. Anyway just wondering if anyone knows if any of the newer trucks have the same 8lug pattern or of any companies that make wheels that fit preferably 15s or 16s any help is greatly appreciated
The eight lug 3/4 ton is a Dana pattern that has been a staple with the Big 3 since the 60s and continued into the 2000s. Most rims would fit any make of truck.
I don't know about 15" rims and whether or not they will fit over the brakes but 16" will and there is still a decent variety of aftermarket rims available.
Welcome to FTE rms64F250!!
Your bolt pattern on your rims is 8 on 6 1/2" you can get most rims in that pattern, I would suggest a 16x8 as there are numerous tires in 16" I had 265/75/16's on my other 66 F250 I had on 16x8's. I forget the backspacing, but it was pretty standard, 4" or 4 1/2". Be cautious of some factory 17's as they sit way to inboard and make your truck look like a scared cat. Also, be very sure you like them ON THE TRUCK, some of the modern rims, look to out of place on our older iron. Again, Welcome to FTE and have fun with it! http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/resul...rSpecial=false
