What ever comes with the new cups. Riffraff sells the cups and sealant. I believe that is what people do to use ELC on the early 99. Its a Loctite just don't remember the number, I think its 620 but someone will chime in soon.

#620 let it sit for about 30 minutes if you start it without the valve covers on - Take time to clean the surface with some very fine sandpaper. A dremmel with a small wire wheel works great - you don't want to have to go back in..... trust me

I let mine cure overnight (heat lamp on it). After the 24-hour cure time, I shoot some silicone spray into the hole, wetting the edges of the cup. I puff the degas bottle up to 15 PSI and watch for bubbles from the cup.

The pressurized degas bottle is how I found which cup was bad the first time around.

Rich, how did you know silicone spray would bubble? That does not strike me as a fluid that would do that, but I like the idea instead of soapy water.

I wasn't looking for foamy-type bubbles, I was looking for tiny burps. Any fluid will supply this, so I went with something harmless. I don't like the idea of putting anything in the hole that I don't want to accidentally get into the fuel rail. Some clean diesel in a spray bottle would do the trick as well.
