I'm looking at a horn blaster kit. From all I read they make a very decent kit.

Here is some info regarding on board air and a diagram showing my air horn set up.

https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...to-choose.html

Word of advice, if you decide to go with a cheaper air horn like I did, scrap the 1/4" air solenoid valve and run 1/2" OD air line with at least a 3/8" air solenoid. I just reworked my set up like this and the horn is MUCH louder!

I have a cannonball express (made by Wolo) that I got new off ebay for $80 about 6 years ago. It's loud, sounds (enough) like a train, and is still going strong. The "real" train horns (Nathans etc) will run you upwards of $350, I haven't had a chance to compare one side by side.

Awesome I'm going to check both of these out. I can hook the air up to one of my aux switches I'd guess?

Don't get caught with it and don't try to scare anyone.

Be careful. A lot of states/counties/municipalities have outlawed train horns and loud horns. Go to Youtube and search for "train horn pranks" to see why.

Redford- your right close but I believe different manufacture. They are air chimes.

Slowlearner- absolutely correct as well. Blew mine at a friend in town and there was a cop on a bike that yelled at me. I have a set on my semi as well as a buddy has one on his semi, except his dumb @$$ blew it at the cop when he was not in uniform and now he's after the both of us, so I pulled mine as precaution. I guess this is what you get for living in a small town.

Yep you can, but remember, you have to connect one of the up-fitter switch wires under your dash and then use one of the four, firewall thru wires to finish off the connection.

try more like $1000+ for true Nathans.
the cheap china horns you get from places like horn blasters are not bad, but don't compare to Nathans.
and the plastic trumpet horns are just plain garbage.
