haha, come to think of it I did use the saw right after putting new fuel lines in but then for some reason or another took the carb apart and I bet I put the little diaphragm in backwards.
Some good info, I will have to try the stuff from harbor freight. Copper wire does work good when getting into curve passage ways. Get some strained wire and cut off one piece. Welding tip cleaners work good too.
Hey- Glad we could help. I coulda had this solved earlier, but I misread your first posts. I thought you said replaced the fuel lines not re-routed them.
I had the fuel lines crossed, now I feel like I should be shot
It happens.
I cleaned out my Dad's old shed, and found a "Homelite" leaf blower that hadn't been started in years.
Replaced the fuel line and fuel 'screen' and it runs like a new one.
Took it over to the farm, where my son and I have permission to hunt/fish/shoot, and did some grass cutting, etc.
Went to start the leaf blower and pulled and yanked and cussed, and pulled some more.
Darned blower would not start, for anything.
I got 'ticked' and tossed it into the back of the truck and swept the driveway and walkway.
Got home and started to throw the leaf blower into the recycle bin, and looked down, and saw that the daggone fuel line was disconnected from the carb!!!!!!!!!
Connected it. Pulled the starter cord twice...... it started right up!!!!!!
I said to myself, "Self. You're an idiot!!!!!!"
(I did not argue!)
