Another task done.. Almost..
I broke down and bought a hood hoist since I'm always have to work by myself and it worked very well. The issue I have now is how to get the hood lower at the cab. It looks like the hinges are at the lowest setting, I'm sure I just done understand the geometry.

I might get it in the shop someday..

Here is what I did, others may know how to do it right.
You should have your new rubber bumpers off to ensure they are not interfering with the fit up. You then will need to shim at the front hinge bolt to lift the front of the hood up, dropping the back. After you get it set, insert the bumpers and check them, you may have to cheat and trim the rubber bumpers closest to the hinges until they wear in and then replace them.
I was frustrated until I bought new hinges and I didn't think the old ones were that worn.
Did you get your "new" used bumper yet? Did you see how clean the original fan was on the 62 heater I left you in Bel Aire, almost like it had only a few hours on it, the whole truck was that way except where water had gotten into the bottom of the radiator support.
Good luck.
I still have the hinges from my original cab and they worked fine on that cab; I may swap them and see or bite the bullet and get new ones..
Can you send me the contact info for the guy in Bel Aire? I haven't had time to get anywhere but should next week.
