Sounds like a good time to ask Ford to kick in a 200,000 mile 0 deductible extended warranty. It would be great coverage for you and great PR for Ford.
I would have said time for a "Buy Back", but you purchased it new and were aware of past history problems.
Of course in a gesture of "Good Will"...just maybe?

Good will would be nice, and it's possible the dealer that sold it to me might have something to offer. Luckily all of this work is covered by the 100k/5 year powertrain warranty, otherwise I would've been SOL. The new engine alone cost $18000 with labor, along with $3000 of new electronics they put in just while I've owned it.
...Check engine light comes on today, get it checked out at AutoZone, and it comes back as poor contribution from the #1 cylinder...
Hi lwk362393,
Get in touch with me via PM; I want to get to work on this and see how I can help. In your message, please include your full name, best daytime phone number, mileage, VIN, and dealership name/location. I'm on the case!

Update: Got in my truck this morning and the check engine light was off and stayed off. Took it down to the service center anyways this afternoon and was told that the code needs to be active when I bring it in, otherwise any work they do won't be covered by warranty. As a result, I was told to drive it until the light came back on (hasn't yet). In addition, I got to thinking last night and wondered if there might a short somewhere in my wiring harness, which I suggested to my service manager, who said that it was definitely a possibility as they never replaced the harness, only the PCMs. Guess I'm driving until it codes again :/

I kinda remember a fella had a similar problem. His would do it after driving down a gravel road. It was a chaffed harness. But I can't remember where it was. Maybe someone else will remember it.

Seem to remember something about a short in the front wheel well or behind it. I don't know what it was for.
Don't know yet, but I'm taking it in today and will update. Just so everyone knows, I've got 55,000 on it, but I think it was probably a lemon off the line unfortunately. I do really believe in these trucks, which is why I haven't given up yet. If it came down to it, I'd still get another one.
Well said, but hopefully they can figure out what the underline issue is; it may be something small, who knows...
Well the check engine light is back on with a new symptom. The truck now is idling and driving rough at low speeds, and appears to be stuck in a constant regen cycle due to my lack of prolonged highway speed driving. Back to the dealer tomorrow it seems...
