Yes. Just pulls off. Use a 10mm deep socket and get a piece of 1.4" hose to grab the GP when you get it loose. It will really help with reinsertion. Be sure to put it back in straight down if it gets sideways a little it will drop into an oil passage.

well from chipping away at it i guess thats the glow plug harness and its a mix of oil mud dirt and from the smell of it a little bit of diesel

DONT Get that into the Cylinder when the GP is taken out BAD BAD JUJU

I was going to say, its looks like a gasket (maybe rocker box cover) leaking oil (?) looking at the rear (left side of picture).

them GP have an Oring to Seal the Oil in from valve cover
check those in addition to the valve cover gaskets
