Volare Steering Box Fix???
I saw this 55 F100 chassis listed on CL and as I looked closer at the front end I was thinking that this was an early GM rear-steer IFS and not a Volare. As I looked at it even closer I saw that it was in fact a Volare but someone had repositioned the steering box back on the frame and connected the pitman arm to the main tie rod via some sort of tie rod/clamp setup. I was wondering if anyone else has seen a setup like this? Lots of discussions on this forum about Volare steering boxes/placement but I have never seen this before.
