Anyone know where I can get a good performance radiator for my 66 without doing any modifications? Thanks

There are a number of good radiators for your truck. You did not say if its a 6cyl or 352 or?

Here are both a aluminum and a brass~copper

The brass copper is for a 70's 460 truck with desert cooling. A direct bolt in with the proper brackets.

I have a original set I have used to make copies of. You can also add a shroud if need be also.

brass copper mounted in truck with A/C. Makes for easy A/C condenser mounting also.

This is using a original ford fan shroud and a 19.5" Fan

Aluminum Plastic is a bolt in so it depends on which one you want.

The Copper~Brass runs just over 200.00

I keep thinking aluminum. I know they both have their pros and cons. I'm just thinking lighter since I want this truck to have 500hp when I'm done. So I figure just do this right the first time. Just don't know where to get a good quality one preferably made in USA. Thanks boss

If you have a 390 and are planning on 500hp I assume you are doing a 445' engine? It will take some cubes and good cylinder heads to get there.

The Copper~Brass is easy to find and pretty nice quality. The Aluminum-Plastic is ok and of course much lighter.

For my 427 Side Oiler I chose the Copper Brass with fan shroud. Its making a "bit" more than 500hp. LOL

Honestly boss this is all new to me. Sounds like you think the copper brass is much nicer quality. A far as the 445 I haven't a clue hiw to do that lol. But it's ok I have time on my side. Thanks for your input and your 429 looks and sounds badass

Not a big fan of the China junk.. (most aluminum plastic rads)

.030 over on a 390 block (4.080) using a bolt in 4.250 Stroke crank will get you
445 cubes.

You will need the 4.250 stroke crank and a good set of Aluminum heads to get you 500 dependable HP in a 390.

So it really depends on your budget. Expect to spend 5k or more to get you the magic 500hp out of a 390.

5k or more? Maybe I should get this motor checked out to see if it even worth pouring that kind if money into it or just save up for a crate or something.
