Most of you aren't aware that I was laid off this past week due to budget cuts. We knew cuts were coming but mine was a shock to everyone including supervisors; especially following my promotion.
I already interviewed for a new job and sounds like I'll be getting it.
So for the next week or so I am taking a vacation. Enjoying the hill and country side of Ventura County (see Ultimate Superduty Pic Thread), post some long winded caffeine fueled posts about oil, and try to catch up on some videos and I would like suggestions.
What are things you would think would be helpful?
Ides are; Common DTCs, sensor familiarization, etc
Sucks to hear about the job Trey. Hope you pick one back up soon!
You done the differentials yet?
I have, but they are due to be changed again. They are on my list, but not high up. And at the cost of gear oil its not something I want to do while unemployed. I should be getting a severance check though.
Trey, do a turbo removal and install vid. You can also look at all the Powerstrokehelp vids that apply to the 7.3L and redo them with the correct info.
this is too cool. im too lazy to do these videos. i was gonna do a bunch videos for all my vdub nerd buddies, but i always end up drinking too much and going in the house. i would love to see a video on traction bars. or anti wrap deals. custom front steering parts would be neat.
Bring your truck down and I'll do the removal and install. Trey can hold the camera, but I'm not sure if he'll be able to hold it still since he would be laughing so hard.
David
P.S. - Be sure to arrange for alternative transportation back up North since I'm not sure there won't be some screws left over.
