I'm not a big iron mechanic, I'm a tech. I've made no claims otherwise. I am getting ready to do a compression test on Stinky, and I have no clue what the proper method is. I'm thinking faster is better (with the starter), but I can see where slower is better as well (hand crank). If I have to hand crank, I'd prefer to pop all the GPs (with only the tested cylinder compressing) to make it easier to turn.
42-pin is unplugged and there is no fuel... or oil... or coolant. I have to pull all the injectors to do a cup leak test... I have fuel in my coolant. The compression test is a "while I'm in there" thing. Before I go tearing into the cup project, I want to know that my compression is good and I'm not just stacking bowling *****.
