How many hours for brake pads?

My neighbor wants me to change his brake pads (front and rear) and i was wondering how much to charge him for the labor? It is the same truck as mine (SRW). Just trying to get a number for him. It will probably take me longer then someone who does this all the time, but I have done mine a couple of times as well as many others. It is not his everyday driver. It's more like a farm truck, so I will be doing just the bear minimum. Which means using the old hardware, drums and rotors, unless absolutely needed. Thanks in advance.

30 mins to take the tires on and off.

Front caliper time depends on if new style or old style.
But i'd say 10 mins there to get those off and on.
10 mins of fiddling with each caliper getting it squeezed out. So... There is another 20.

Were up to about an hour on the front (if your fast)
I'd say about 2 (which is what I usually take cause I"m slow)

Rear is easy depending on whats going on. You'll spend more time fiddling with the adjustments than anything and or getting the drum off.

I'd charge him 80-100 bucks.

In all honesty. If it takes more than 15 min per corner, you should put the wrenches away

You need to have a beer or a glass of tea or something.

In all honesty, to belittle others like that really just makes you look like you have a small dick.

I can do front brakes in 15 mins, but not rears.
But that's seriously busting *** with nothing going wrong.

You wanna make that bet with me ?

Unless the back drums are stuck or something has come lose then it really shouldn't take more that a hour and a half with out waiting for rotors and drums to be turned.

To the OP when I do brakes for someone I charge 100 per axle plus parts and that includes having the rotors and/or drums turned.
I will not put brakes on with out turning them.

I found out that as I became over 60, it takes me a bit longer to do jobs but I only have to do them once and they are right first time
