450s get worse fuel mileage than the 350 DRW and they get worse than 350 SRW. I would expect that your truck is tuned by your sig. Try reloading the tune and check again. My med unit got around 8 mpg, but with lots of full throttle stats and TONS of idling. I have a friend though that gets right at 12.5 with his tuned and deleted F450 4x4.
That might be the answer , I had my foot in it and its lower geared rear end than my 2002.
Maybe its not the answer for my daily commute 150 miles.
Its going to be a real pretty but expensive lawn ornament.
It's an awesome truck but not the best commuter car. If you really need the truck, get it. Then save up $1500 bucks and buy a beater. I got tired of putting all the miles on my F350 and found a 94 Mustang that makes a great commuter. Plus, the Mustang was free! The Mustang is for sale by the way.

That is about what I get. 13.5 city and actually a bit better on the highway running unloaded. I generally get around 22-23. That is calculated by my SGII and hand.
Drive conservatively and these trucks can do pretty good. Loaded is an entirely different matter.
