weird issue with AC

weird issue with AC

About one day a month my AC will go from off to on full blast over and over, irregardless of the ac settings on fan amount. I was thinking maybe a seal isnt quite perfect. Any ideas?

Trouble with fan speeds (in my experience) has either been in the switch itself or in the blower motor resistor. The latter being the easiest and cheapest part to throw at it first.

A resistor pack on a manually-controlled system cannot cause this.

It would help tremendously if the OP actually identified the year of the Ex and told us which climate control is installed (manual/EATC).
