I'm running about 2600rpms @ 55mph. It sounds pretty wound out and runs out of power while towing. (Part of this might be my kickdown linkage isn't set up correctly.) Just wondering if this sounds reasonable for RPMs. Here are my specs:
Sounds like I'm at least in the range I should be. I'll check the GPS on my phone and see how accurate the speedo is. Very possible I was going faster than I suspected. Pulling 7000lbs it was about as much as I felt comfortable doing....
Sounds right to me. I have the same set up and that's what mines turning at 55. I used my gps and I'm actually goes a couple mph faster then what my speedo shows. Still correct 55mph=2600rpm.

I have the same setup except I have a np435, and im running 3000 at 60 and probably about 2600 at 55. What motor do you have? I have the 390 and itll go as fast as i want without a load but i could have 2000 or 8000 pounds and it wont go over 55
